Last year the Scrip program raised approximately $7,000 for Holy Family School.
These funds contribute to field trips, classroom items not provided for in the regular school budget, Family Fun nights and other programs that enhance our students’ academic experience.
If everyone participates, we can easily generate $10,000+ for our school!
HOW IT WORKS? It’s so easy everyone can participate!
HFS PTO purchases gift cards at a discount from the supplier then sells the cards at face value. The difference generated goes to the school.
While you, the buyer, redeem the card at the full face value, you are FUNDRAISING for the school!
1) And you aren’t spending “extra” money on knick knacks or cookies (like some fundraisers require);
2) And you aren’t spending “extra” time volunteering to help your child sell those things.
So, SCRIP is an important fundraiser for Holy Family School that does not cost you extra time or extra money. You simply buy a gift card then go use it in the store or online for something you need like groceries, gas, prescriptions and other drug store items, dining out, clothing, shoes, sporting goods, home improvement, etc.
at Hayes Office Products, 6 E Main St, Norwich during business hours (M-F 8:30a-6p and Sat 9a-2p), any sales associate can assist you,
at PTO functions and events,
at St. Paul’s masses
or by sending an order form to school (see the reverse side for this form). At noon on Thursdays I pick up any scrip orders sent in to school and prepare them to be sent home the next day.
If you need a gift card that is not on the list, I may be able to order it for you. Please call me or stop in with your request. Orders are usually placed every 3 weeks and weekly during the holidays.
We all need groceries, gas, clothes, household items, and all of us dine out on occasion. So you are spending the money anyway. Why not buy Scrip gift cards BEFORE you shop and use those cards to buy what you need. This way, you get your merchandise and Holy Family School benefits too! Scrip is also great to give as a gift; however, we can generate $10,000+ for the school if everyone uses scrip for their everyday needs.
